Do i ahve a shot at gymnastics?????

ok so i'm 13 now and i did gymnasticsts for just a little bit when i was lyk in 1 or 2nt grade, I'm kinda weak because i dont eat meat that much only a certian kind of chicken nuggets (i will not change) and i'm going to join gymnasticts again and i read even tho i'm almost 13 i'll still have a shot if i work super hard and i will put my everything into it i have wii fit and i play yoga and streanth on it every day for an avrage of 40 minnutes, i also streach for about 15 minntues, what else could i do to practice, and will i even have a chance to make it into competeion (when i start it will be in biggerns 1 or 2 any thing else on recomendation bout the bigginers? ) i can't do a cartwheel very well so i'll work on that..... anything else please include everythign you can think of EVERYTHING about gymnastics expecaally the things i asked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks SOO MUCH!!!!!!!! i have mi heart set on doing competeion

  1. You definitely do have what it takes. If you work hard and put your mind to it you can do it. Oh and about the meat thing...you can eat brown rice and that will give you the proteins that meat gives you. It will make you stronger. Exercise a lot specially on your arm and legs. Practice handstands and do push up it should give you some more strengh and other than that keep at what you are doing and you will be good!


  2. well i did gymnastics but i quit last year and im 13 but lemme tell the most important thing- WORK OUT!!! u need 2 be strong 2 do gymnastics i suggest doing weights, push ups, sit ups, maybe some chin ups if you have any place to do them, and run. when you do this do it 4 15 minutes a day at the least!! if i were u and wanted 2 get in gymnastics really bad id do it 4 about an hour a day. also, if you have a trampoline, practice doing flips on it or something but make sure your parent/legal guardian is around. try as hard as u can 2 eat different food. im a really picky eater 2 but i have learned and you will be glad you did if you do eat more. last, go to a gymnastics place if you can 2 just practice all the thing from hte rings- 2 the vault- 2 the bars ect. i wish you luck and hope you make it

  3. Mentally you really really do.. but if your 13 and cant do a cartwheel well... i dont think you have much chance of being on a competive team.. it gets harder to learn once you get older. just do it for fun! competition takes the fun out of it trust me. just see where you go! have fun w/ it!!

  4. well, you have a chance. but the opportunity window is closing. i was 10 when i started and im competettive now.. just work work work. as for conditioning, work on your core [stomach and back] most of all. its even more important than arms and legs, but of course all are important.

    & i wanted to do comps too!

    after a couple of months training i got quite good

    now im reallllllllllllly great at it trust me :]]]
