Do i choose fuzz, OD, or distortion for this song?

me and my band are gonna play this song at a national competition on august 5-9.very exited and i just dont know what kind of effect they use.

That's just normal distortion. If you have a decent amp you should be able to dial it in.

If you don't, try a pedal like the Boss SD-1 or DS-1. It sounds like they're using either a heavy overdrive or a light distortion, but nailing the tone exactly won't be easy, since they're almost certainly mic'ing a 4x12 cabinet then EQ'ing it to fit in the mix juuuust right. I'd say get close and go with it.

I thought the song was kinda decent sounding, too bad the video had all that christian propaganda on it. I could probably go the rest of my life without seeing "1 man + 3 nails = 4 given" or however it goes. Especially since it wouldn't have been three nails, it would have either been two or four and some rope. Ah, but I quibble...
