So when i was flying back from plama id walked through check in and i noticed that the woman had took my bag off and put it to the side. I asked her and she said(aswell did the first choice rep who was standing by her)O its becuase its the last on.Dont worry It'll get there.

She was wrong i already saw 2 cases that were supposed to go on flights hours ago.

So i get to collect my baggage.

I got my dads suitcase

I got my moms

I got 1 of mine

When the belt stops

And turns offf

My suitcase wasnt on the plane!

I bet its still behind the desk with the others.

They havent had any news of it yet(it was in the early hours of yesterday)

Also how much should i claim for if its not found.

It contained:

Nicky Clarke straightners

Mobile phorne charger

Tons of new cosmetics and perfume

New summer clothes

Bottle of brandy(not mine lol)

  1. IF the bag is not found, you will be eligible for compensation.  The amount of compensation is covered under various conventions, so it depends on where you were flying from and to...  I strongly suspect it will not cover the cost of the contents.

I'll go worst case - The Warsaw Convention sets airline liability at $20 per kilo — or $9.07 per pound — with a maximum of $640 per suitcase.  If you were flying within the US, the limit is higher, up to $2500 with specific  exclusions.

In addition, the suitcase has to be 'lost'.  How long the airline has to do that depends again on your itinerary.   If the bag is recovered, even after your vacation, they owe you $0.

Sorry to be the bearer of potentially bad news.

  2. If it's delayed (lost and then found) then no, no compensation.
