  1. yes, just enough to pay your expenses

  2. no. but if you dont attend with a good excuse your jailed but get paid for hard labour.

  3. Yeah, a couple bucks a day, plus a few cents per mile for travel expense. You don't get reimbursed until after you've finished serving. I did 15 Fridays on Grand Jury duty and didn't get reimbursed until we were sworn out after our 15 weeks were up. Thank goodness it was Friday and summer, so a lot of the times the prosecutors took Friday off or cut the day early.

And it doesn't matter if you're employed or not, you still get the "jury fee".

  4. A little

  5. Yes, the last time I served it paid $17.00 per day. That was at The Daley Center in downtown Chicago.

  6. It depends on the state.  Here we get paid $10 bucks plus 8 cents a mile and a voucher for parking.  It's not a lot of money.  Especially at $4 a gallon for gas now.

  7. Yes.  But don't get too excited about the fee.

  8. Pennsylvania, $9.00 a day, plus mileage between your home and the court house.
