  1. Doubtfull.  Most people with salary type jobs get paid once a month, or maybe every two weeks.  But....here is something you might not have thought of.  A high percentage of jobs do NOT pay you the first pay period, they hold out a week (sometimes more), so they are always a week or two behind when you get paid.  For instance...I get paid this Tuesday, Aug. the 19. But when I get paid I will be getting paid for the two week period between 7/28/08 and 8/8/08.  ( I get paid twice a month).  It's all and fine now, but since they hold out a weeks pay  I didn't get one the first pay period.  If you only get paid once a month you may have to go two months before getting paid.

  2. it depends on how they pay... we get paid every other friday.. but when i started... i was paid right away.... hourly takes longer to get paid but salary is a no brainer and you should be paid right away.

  3. Depends.  In the US, the pay is either every other Friday, or on twice a month (typically on 15th and last day of the month).  Some companies pay one pay period in arrears.  That means, you go without getting paid at the end of your very first pay period.  That pay will come to you at the end of the second pay period.  Then you will be paid at the every pay period throughout your job with that company.  When you leave, you have to wait for one pay period to receive your last pay check.

Only reason for companies to do is to make sure they have one pay-period's "hold" on you, if they want to withhold anything from you./

  4. Probably not, they will probably hold back till next pay period.

  5. They usually hold back 1 week and then pay you the second week of the paid perido.
