Do i have a bad eye sight?

i am 16 and my prescription is 3.25 and 4.00 is this bad.

p.s can these numbers go down

Thats terrible. No offense, . Maybe try laser eye surgery if you have the money.

I would say it's moderate.  Generally 0.25 to 3.00 is slight, 3.00 to 6.00 is moderate, and above 6.00 is high.  (These are just approximations, and it depends on who you ask what is high and low.)

If your prescription is negative (-3.25 and -4.00), you are myopic or nearsighted, which is common among those in school.  Your vision will probably get a little worse (your prescription will be more negative) as you get older, but it will stabalize in your late teens or early twenties.

If your prescription is positive (+3.25 and +4.00), you are hyperopic or farsighted, which is the most common type of eyesight.

Yes you do have bad eye sight but it can be worse. My prescription is -1.50 and -1.25 and I am illegal to drive, you are like 3 times worse then me!

Yes these numbers can go up and down, but they will probably get worse.

o gee i'm 12 and i'm -5.00  guess i have even worse eyesight. the numbers can worsen over time, especially if you choose a job thats harmful or stressful to your eyes (like reading documents all day) but you don't go blind unless you have really bad eyesight. (-20.00???) theres a roduct that helps correct your eyes by makin ghtem rounder. it's a hard contact lens that you wear to sleep that shapes your eyes so you have better vision. but those cost a lot and have only been out for 2 years or so, so it might not be safe. laser surgery can also correct vision.

If you wear glasses you have bad eyesight.  The only way to make it better that I know of is laser surgery or this product,
