Do i have a chance at uva or tech

Question

i have about a 3.7 to 3.8 gpa, im pretty involved with several leadership positions in school including vp of spanish honor society and secretary of national honor society, and i got an 1180 on my sat (out of 1600, 1860 out of 2400). i expect my gpa to go up this year (senior year) and also i plan on taking the sat. what are my chances at getting into uva or tech???

You should have a pretty good chance at both these schools if you can get your SAT score a little higher next time you take it. As a point of reference for your college decision, UVA is considered the better business/liberal arts school while VT is considered the better science and engineering school. So depending on your major one school may be a better choice than the other. Also at VT, the engineering dept. has stricter admission requirements than the rest of the school.
