Do i have a chest infection?

i have a heavy tight chest feeling tight and weezy slight cough ,flemmy , but no other symptoms ,could this be a chest infection or flu?

im tired headaches, dizzy hot flushes but no sneezing or sore throat or anything

  1. Hi, You don't give your history so it is hard to say. Do you smoke? How old are you? Any history of heart disease? Asthma? It isn't flu season so I doubt it could be that. Yes it could be a lung infection, but it could be COPD, especially if you're a smoker. Are you short of breath? Too many important things unknown to get a clear picture.

    Yes in that case, you might have an infection, not flu though. It could be pneumonia if it hurts to breathe, especially if there's fever. Being that you're short of breath and wheezing, you really need to see a doctor asap. You said you have a slight cough, so it doesn't sound like bronchitis. I think you need to get a chest xray very soon. If you go to the ER, they can give you a breathing treatment and hopefully a prescription for antibiotics and an inhaler, that is, if the physician believes you have an infection. Best of luck.


  2. if your flem is green, it means you have an infection. Thats a sure tell sign. It sounds like you do but you gotta look at the boogies ;) It's gross but I hope I helped
