  1. You might have to approach memorization in a different manner than what you are used too. I would memorize the first letter of each word in the answer. For some reason that helped me.

  2. No

People are being put in Special Ed for no good reason

I have been in special ed for 7 years

  4. hi how are you it does have to be a learninig disabilities it could be a speech problem get testesd they could also tell you whre is your weak neess thank you and good luck

  5. Not necessarily.  It could just be one of those things that you may not be that good in.   If you want to be completely sure if whether or not you have a LD - then you can get tested for it.  If you are in College or HS  the school psychologist can test you.  It is usually free and takes about two - three hours.  If they find that you do have a LD then they can help you with overcoming some obstacles that you face.  They can also teach you different learning methods, give you notes from lectures, etc.  Check it out and good luck.

  6. There are a couple of learning disabilities associated with memory. These are:

*Visual memory deficit: It is hard for you to enter visual information into long term memory.

*Visual processing deficit: This means that your brain struggles so hard to process what is learned, that you forget what you are trying to remember along the way.

To support your memory, I advise you to use a graphic organizer for things you need to remember or draw a symbol that represents the word. For instance, If you have to remember the word,  "substantial," you can draw a picture of a big building or whatever seems substantial to you. You could also write a sentence using the word. This brings in a kinesthetic aspect (writing and drawing) that helps you remember because you aren't relying on visual memory alone.

Graphic organizers are good because they organize your thinking into a concept so that you are not trying to remember individual facts. That is where you will usually have the biggest problems.

Here is a place that has many free graphic organizers. They have word webs and other ways to support learning vocabulary and other things.

  7. No, I am a college student, and I have trouble remebering! your not alone :)

  8. No, i think it probably just have to do with how interested you are in whatever. I like computers and can learn things to with it (parts, names of stuff) really easily because i enjoy it. If it was history i wouldn't learn as easily.
