  1. if it was low and you didn't add to it this could be the reason for it,id add to it and see if that helps it,,it may be too late if its slipping in to third gear, you may have to get this one re-built,when they get low they will burn out,try adding to it and see what happens, good luck.

  2. once it start slipping and you continue to try to drive it , you've probably damaged the drum and clutches by now.. time for a new one... once they start slipping and you dont take care of it right away, you've likely hurt it... but good... good luck

  3. could be your problem.  add some fluid, its cheap.

hope you didn't ruin your tranny.  what colour is the fluid?  nice and red and clear or burnt, reddish brown?

  4. If your tranny fluid is now full and you have that slipping your tranny is on it's way out, be prepared to spend $2,000 to $2,500.

  5. That happened to my old 1990 Plymouth Voyager. Same gear. After a few months of that, the gear finally failed me and I was unable to go above 35 MPH. Hopefully, if that happens to you, you'll be able to just fix that one gear instead of needing an entirely new transmission. Unlike in my case, yours will probably be worth the money.

  6. Yes, you do have a trans problem.

Honda automatics are known for them from about 99-03 models, which yours falls into.  Now you know.

    Good luck.

  7. Did you do anything about the low fluid? If you did - it's probably something else - If you didn't then do it now and pray you caught the problem before you destroy the transmission.
