the other day me and my father got into a HUGE argument so instead of continuing to argue, i walked outside. i started hyperventilating extremely hard and fast, and then i felt my upper body feel numb(like pins and needles feeling) and i got sharp pains in my stomach and head . i was walking back and forth trying to calm myself down. it felt like i was running on pure adrenalin or something. so i sit down, and clench my fists. then my dad decided to follow me outside and said how this whole argument was my fault and he should disown me so i pulled a knife out of my pocket. i didn't open it i just had it in my hand, i was seriously contemplating killing him but i didn't. eventually he went away. do you think i have an anger issue or does this happen to everyone? this has only happened to me once before.

  1. As long as you know you will never harm someone, then no big deal. Whatever you need to do to vent your anger without hurting anybody, you just do it. Apparently it's not good to hold those things in.

  2. hey i get like this sometimes! the littlest thing can make me soooo angry   that i find it really hard not to punch the person that made me feel that way! to answer your question i think you might have an anger issue and now i think i do to hahaha.

  3. I think you have some serious anger issues.  You should definitely get some help dealing with rage.  It's not good when you get so angry you feel physically ill with it.  And when you have thoughts of killing people, you are definitely getting angrier than is warranted.

  4. i think you should see someone about anger management, it may sound stupid but if you usually get this angry about things you might do something one day that you'll regret. So it's better to just go and not take a chance.

  5. sounds like you were having an anxiety attack.  sometimes when these occur you get numbness and tingling in your hands first and then progresses to the rest of your body if you dont control it.  I used to find that if I can control my breathing by slowing it down that controls the anxiety attack.  Regarding the knife.  I reckon that probably happened because when you have an anxiety attack people generally do not make rational or decisions that they would not normally make.  It might help to see someone such as a gp, psychologist to help with the anxiety and coping in extreme situations such as the fight with your dad.

  6. Anger is one of the senses which every human being have. The issue is how to control it. Anger needs some exit to get out of you otherwise may cause health hazard. So even the reaction seems to be drastic it vented out your anger. To grow up in life you earnestly need to control your anger. Deep breathing exercises are proven help. Even if you feel anger is coming take few snaps of deeeeeep breath and you can feel the difference. And never feel sorry to say sorry. So just hang on to your dad and say sorry...

    cheers

  7. Yea i think you should seek help. talk to a therapist first and he/she might recommend you to attend anger management classes. it's better to be safe than sorry because people can't think properly when they are enraged.

  8. Nah, this isn't a mental issue at all. It's just adrenaline producing these symptoms because you are not releasing your anger verbally or physically-which is really a good thing! but keeping it in is not. Your blood pressure probably rose too....Pulling a knife and contemplating killing your own father is completley nuts and I recommend immediate anger counseling to find appropriate ways to release your anger....REMEMBER....ONLY YOU CAN MAKE YOUR SELF THAT ANGRY....NO ONE ELSE.....learn to react to things differently instead of letting it bother you. Good luck!
