I am 12 years old and have been dancing for 8 years now. I dance, tap, jazz, ballet, lyric and pointe (toe) shoes. I don't think my arch (on my foot) is normal.

Could it be an over arch? I don't want to ask my teacher, she is EXTREMLY busy right now. I am really confused... so I want to know from either dance teachers or professional ballet dancers your opinion on my arch, is it normal or over arched? THANK YOU SO MUCH.

  1. Your foot is not over-arched. It's right where it should be. Some people are born with a great arch, and by the bottom of your foot, I can tell you were born with a good ballet arch. It's right where it should be for your age and level, so don't fret.

  2. i'm not a professional dancer, per-say. but i do know that your feet are NOT over arched. they're just fine. and trust me when i say that i have seen over arched feet.

    hope this helps de-confuse you.
