Do i have bob cats or wild cats???

Question

i have 5 little kittens. i don't know if there bob cats or wild cats

the walk with there legs sorta strait and hind legs are longer and have a stub of a tail but are the size of a normal kitten it has a little bit of tuff on its ears. i don't know wat kind o cat the dad is, but the mom is just a regular wild cat. please help me out

What you have are Manx kittens ... and their mother isn't a 'wild cat' (a cougar is a wild cat) but is a feral cat ... and the father of the kittens is any male who was out of doors when the mother was in heat ... each kitten could actually have a different father from all of the other kittens.  Bobcats are also a type of wild cat, but the kittens you have are 'feral Manx cross kittens.'

Sounds like normal feral Manx mix kittens to me.

The kind you have are called "stubbies" because they have

a stub of a tail, instead of the usual no-tail Manx situation.

If you can, please catch them, socialize them if you can,

and find good homes. All the Manx local cats are snapped

up fast as they can be, as they are great mousers.

You mean the mom is a feral cat - a house cat that is homeless. No one can tell over the internet if the kittens are part bobcat. It doesn't happen often but it can happen. A lot less likely if you don't have a bobcat population. Take them to the vet and see what they think.

Hello I live in Tn as well and there are bobcats, but I think yours are probably just wild cats.

It's hard to say without a picture but likely they are just domestic cats since the mother is. I'm sure it is possible for them to breed with a bob cat but probably not very likely to happen very often.

I'm fairly certain they're wild cats, from the way you describe it.

Do you have many bob cats in your area? Maybe if you find a rough estimate of the ratio of Bob cats to Wild cats within a 5 mi radius or so you can guess if they're bob or wild.

bobcats are wildcats maybe you should ask your vet

They are Manx kittens. We just had 3 of them in at my work. They were in the adoption center for a day and got adopted out. U should have no problem finding them homes. Good luck!
