Question:

Do i have ocd? Or what do i have and what should i do???

I'm always stressed out! Right now i'm afraid about my hair. When i know deep inside theres nothing wrong with me. I'm still worried. Everyday i feel depressed cause im always worrying. I am scared of the future and what will happen. I stress myself out sooooooo much that i recently just started to cut myself. I dont like to do it, but i do it anyways. I finially told my mom. She says shes gonna take me to the doctor. I'm scared to go to the doctor. I hate being aound alot of people. I cry everydays cause i get stressed out. Help me please...

  1. I don't tihnk you have ocd...but Im not a doctor. you should definitely go see one because it sounds like you're dealing with a lot of stress


  2. It is good that your mom is going to get you help.  Doctors are there to help you and you have a right to feel good.  I was really affraid to go to the doctor, but they really helped me with medication and therapy.  Just going and reaching out for help made me feel better.

    I hope you feel better soon.  It is really important that you told your mother.  That is the first step.

  3. wow. ur normal its okay. i feel the same way u do. calm down. i have panic attacks as well. but i dont cut myself. thats nonsense. nor do i cry. just relax, and live life thats wat ive learned to do


  4. Your symptoms do not seem specific to OCD.  You describe symptoms that could be part of several disorders, but all of them can occur in depression.

    Going to a doctor sounds like a good idea, but it's important that you see someone you feel comfortable with.  If you don't like your doctor, you should request a different doctor.  More important, though, is to get a therapist you like and trust.

    These kinds of problems are treatable and there is hope.  The important thing is to be open to getting help.

  5. It sounds like you might have a disorder ; not ocd. Don't go to a medical doctor they'll only medicate you. Go to a psychologist for an evaluation.

  6. It doesn't sound like OCD (you're not counting or cleaning, etc, compulsively and you're not fixated on one thing).  Maybe you're just feeling a lot of pressure/stress, and perhaps you're depressed.  Don't be worried about going to the doctor.  (You'll only be admitted to a hospital if you are suicidal).  If you go to talk therapy, or perhaps take medication for a while, you'll probably feel better.
