the space I have is 6.10 meters (20ft) by 3.80 meters (12.6ft). I don't have a pool table yet, but if I were to get one, what size would be best?

  1. Regardless of what size table you purchase for your room, you need a minimum of 5' from each side of the table to the nearest wall or obstruction. That's 60", so considering a cue is almost that long, you need another 8" to 12" inches for your stroke when the cue ball is up against the rail. It would be very marginal for even a 7' table in your room. That's just something to consider.

  2. 4' is NOT enough room. I like at least 6 feet.

If the cue ball is on the rail, you'll have little to no room to stroke your cue --let alone being able to step back and have a good look at the table.

    Good luck!

  3. thats about the min. I like at least 5 ft

  4. Well competition size pool tables are 8ft long. They sell 7ft and 6ft though all you need to remember is once the pool table is centered in the room, you'll need about 3-4 feet on each side.

I think you have enough room, I'd go with a 7ft though
