I did my bachelors of engineering in Information Technology in 2005. i tried to pursue MS in US last year.i wrote GRE in december, 2007 and my score was 1220 [Q 750 V 470] but by the time i had all my papers in place it became january and so i missed many of the deadlines.so i did not proceed further to write TOEFL. this year can i take TOEFL and apply for a fall admission?. I have 3 years experience of Senior Software Engg too. Please tell me whether i can re-use my GRE score and write TOEFL alone. I have already did some research abt universities but still for my profile if you have any schools in mind, pls do let me know..Thanks in advance!

  1. Your GRE scores are valid for five years. All you need is the TOEFL, however you are too late to apply for admission for this fall (2008) since the semester commences this month. You are looking at a Spring 2009 start if you get applying now.

  2. You can definitely go now. The GRE score is valid for 5 years. Your score is a pretty decent one and you need to write TOEFL now. After that, u need to apply for the uni and then u can go. But, if u start the process now you cant go this February. if u start the process now and do it normally, u can go next august or september. to obtain a visa it normally takes time.

however, if u are serious and can do things fast, then u can go for the feb 2009 intake. it depends on the interest that u have in pursuing what you want.

then reg the uni, u need not worry much. the uni is not so important. the course structure is.
