Do i have to be 18 to buy an airgun in a Pawn Shop?

I live in indiana and i have found no restroctions on having pellet guns....

So im 13, could i buy a pellet gun from a pawn shop?

"Firearm"

     Sec. 5. "Firearm" means any weapon:

        (1) that is:

            (A) capable of expelling; or

            (B) designed to expel; or

        (2) that may readily be converted to expel;

            a projectile by means of an explosion.

An water pistol by Indiana statute is a firearm but then again so is a spitball and straw

I could not find the definition of explosion so I fell back on what Insurance companies use as the definition
