I haven't applied to the school yet. I will be sending my application to the school in a few months.

  1. It really depends on the scholarship you are applying for. Some even want a copy of your acceptance letter - and some even wait until the semester starts to ensure the student won't just take the money, drop out, and blow the money on other things. You just need to look at the scholarship application requirements to find out.  If you are looking at starting this fall, you really ought to get your apps in NOW vs. in a few months. The financial aid is being distributed, and depending on the college, a lot of courses are filling up during spring registration. The application process could be quite long, so I'd get moving now vs. in a few months.

  2. best thing to do is to ask the scholarship company directly

however i think you should need to be accepted or else there might be problems if you are not accepted furthermore that can cause other problems if you try to get scholarship to another school (if you go back after graduating or taking a 'break' from studies)
