Do i have to be christian to get married in a church? UK?

my partner is christian and insists on getting married in a church, although he doesn't attend church regularly. i am atheist.... but i dont really mind because its what he believes in blah blah blah. but do we have to attend church before the wedding because i wouldn't really like to have to lie for so long to the church guys..... uk only answers please!!!

  2. He's the Christian, ask him to discuss it with the Priest/Minister. Explain you are willing to marry there, but don't devalue your principles for his hypocracy.

  4. You would have to ask the pastor/priest. Sometimes churches require both partners to be members of that church. Sometimes they will allow a partner to be a different religion. Most churches do require premarital counseling from them. This is going to be true in any country.

  5. i know you have to be catholic baptized,1st communiuon and have your confirmation  to be married in a catholic church and as for christians i believe you atleast have to be baptized christian to be married in the church
