  1. To get a legit fight in a show like Gladiator Challenge or king of the Cage you need to have a video or resume of some of your other amatuere fights or have a reccomendation from a known trainer to the organization.  My isntructor was a fighter for KOTC and he talked to Ted Williams and got me a fight against another newb at a gladiator challenge show which is related to KOTC.  So there are several ways but the best way these days is to be a part of a gym and have the instructor set you up fights against fighters of your caliber from other schools, and then move on to some of the smaller Pro shows (RITC,KOTC,Gladiator Challenge, etc..)

  2. I don't think you have to join a team, but try out a legitimate gym, or find an experienced trainer.

  3. It would be smart to join some sort of team or gym. There are some really sketchy MMA organizations that will just take sign ups, but for the most part you need to get a few amateur fights before you get an actual fight on your record, and those amateur fights usually happen at/through gyms.

On top of that, you'll need to do more than take  a few classes if you have any interest in winning or even leaving the even without a serious injury. Join a gym/team and train for a year before actualy fighitng.
