  1. well it depends you can make a vegetable crudite which is just chopped vegetables with a dip

or you can boil vegetables and put them in a italian dressing marinade

    both ways are fine

  2. nope..  oh and never boil veggies....  just steam them.

you can have them raw or lightly steamed.

  3. My favorite way to cook cauliflower is to cut it into small pieces and florets and saute it in a little olive oil, with a pinch of red pepper flakes and a little sea salt.  I like to garnish that with a handful of toasted slivered almonds.  It makes for a nice change to steamed or boiled.

  4. You can steam it, or microwave it (put the florets in a scant 1/4" water, cover with waxed paper & microwave 3-4 min)... or even just use it raw........  We like it steamed with just butter and salt.  I don't like cheese sauce, and neither does anyone else in the family

  5. You can if you want to, but I prefer cauliflower raw!

  6. Cauliflower as well as broccoli is an excellent raw vegetable for salads.

Also, consider using some endive as part of your greens.

    Good luck.

  7. No, you use it raw.

  8. u can blanche it for a nimute or two then run under cold water or steam in baggies in microwave

    to crunchy is not good

  9. I love this recipe for cauliflower, easy and delicious.

1 medium cauliflower cut in florets

    1 large onion sliced

3 celery stalks cut in pieces

    1/2 cup olive oil

    1 cup prepared tomato sauce

    1/12 cup water

    salt,pepper

    1 tsp. sugar

In a heavy pot place cauliflower and add on top the rest of ingredients

cook in med.heat until liquid is absorbed and you have a nice sauce, about 15,20 min.

This is a very different way to enjoy cauliflower every one likes this recipe.

  10. You can boil it but you don't have too. I like to steam it. I think it taste so much better steamed.
