You're probably going to need to edit this to add more information to get this question answered.  Are you just wanting to download music/videos onto your computer? If so, you don't need a dvd burner. If you're wanting to burn MOVIES to disk, you'd need a dvd burner...you can burn music with a simple cd burner.
