Are sony lenses the only ones that are compatible with their cameras? I want to buy a better lense but sony's lenses are too pricey.

  1. Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM Lens Sony Alpha DSLR A700, A350, A300, A200, A100 SLR Digital Camera

is best for use & discount

  2. As far as I am aware you don't.......but it is always recommended by store techs that you do so, as they are meant to be more compatible.

I own an Canon EOS 40d and have upgraded Sigma Sports/fish eye and macro lenses. I am still learning but with the upgrade lenses I can take what I consider pretty good photo's

You just have to shop around until you find the right one.

When you buy, compare prices on the net you will be surprised by the price differences.

  3. You can use any legacy Minolta Maxxum AF lens made since 1985 with your A200. Of course, any lens made for the Maxxum cameras by other manufacturers (Vivitar, Tamrom, etc.) will work just fine.
