  1. Hi,

To work in a professional field that is highly regulated such as medicine, orthodontist, lawyer etc you need to have you degree "homologado" by the spanish ministry for education. There is a free pdf booklet available for this although after a quick search I can´t find it at this moment. I think its buried in the website of the "Seguridad social". The booklet explains the process as well as transferring social security payments made in other EU countries. If you are looking to stay in spain permanentlty its good reading and will ensure you receive unemployment, health and pension benefits. Spanish language skills are a seperate test and this would be required for a license to practice medicene. Costs are minimal but they do require a looonnnggg time to review paperwork etc etc.

I´m about to add a few pages to my website directly relating to thie whole live and work in Spain subject in the next few days. (not today) www.madrid-guide-spain.com. If I find the booklet I´ll make sure there is a link to it!
