I'm taking my driver's license test in two weeks. I get that you have to fully stop on a red light for a right turn. Do you still have to make a stop before the crosswalk when turning right on a green light?

  1. On a green light, no.

The only time you should stop is when pedestrians are crossing the crosswalk, as they have the right of way.

Otherwise, you have the right of way, therefore can make the turn without stopping.

  2. nope, right turn doesn't need a stop :-)

  3. If all is clear then no just reduce your speed.....

  4. No, it is not required to make a stop when turning right on a green light. The trick is to anticipate what you're doing before it happens. If you know you'll be turning in a few seconds, glance to make sure that there is no one walking towards the cross walk where you'll be turning. The bikers/walkers will most likely have a walk sign to cross right where you'll want to turn, and pedestrians ALWAYS have the right of way (no matter how wrong they are) so you'll want to make sure the coast is clear before you turn. Good luck on your test! You'll do great!

  5. If you have a red light then yes you need to make a complete stop (count 3 seconds then go) if it is green then that means that you go with out stopping.  You stop at a crosswalk if and only if there is someone waiting to cross.  Good luck!

  6. no   green means go

  7. no, but look to make sure nothing is coming.

  8. Slow down. On your road test you must make the turn between 7-10 mph. Anything lower/higher than that will cause a loss of points
