Do i have to get a new passport next year???

im 15 and im getting a passport because im going to london england this summer, (i live in canada). im under sixteen so i need a child passport.

but come march 2009 i'll be sixteen and adult passports are ages 16 and up. will i need to get a new one or just renew it or what??

oh and how often do i even have to renew my passport?????

  1. Canadian passports are not "renewed". Technically you will need to apply for a new passport (every 5 years)


  2. Your passport will remain valid until its expiry date.  You will not have to get a new passport when you are 16.
