Do i have to pay gratuity for my kids(2 & 3 years old) on a carnival cruise ship?

can anyone that is not hostile answer this question? Because i know some cruise lines don't make you pay gratuity for kids.

  1. In a word - yes.  They will be using the same services as adults.  Tips are only $10/day per person - a small price to pay for all you get from these hard-working people.  I don't know of any cruise ships on which you don't pay tips for kids - maybe some of the European ships [MSC, etc].  To find out, go to their websites.


  2. Will your kids be eating, drinking water, sleeping in a bed, and using towels? Do they ever make messes that someone has to clean up?

    They will be using the services of the staff, and the staff should get a gratuity for this. If you can't afford to tip for them, don't bring them along.

  3. Yes, and no.

    Gratuities aren't required by law.

    They will charge you gratuities for each person in your cabin, regardless of age.  You have the option of going to the Purser's desk and having them adjusted.

    I think you will be happy with Carnivals' service and your cruise that you will probably think it would be worth it to just leave the tips on, though.
