  1. N.Ireland no as it's part of the UK, you only pay tax once but for the rest of Ireland yes. Also most people lie about VAT and chooce not to pay it, for example I went to America and bought a laptop and came back to the UK and decided not to pay the £175 tax associated with it and didn't declare it (question of legality here).

  2. Taxes suck. Buy on eBay.

  3. Only from S.Ire.But if your buying a camera and have an old

one.In case your stopped(unlikely)Put the passed sticker from the old one on a new one.Usually a small sticker on the lens.

  4. short answer? No.

you're buying from another member state of the european union, therefore no taxes are payable in uk when you get back. i think the irish vat is slightly higher than uk, but still, vat is vat. once its paid in one eu state, it stays paid.  so with respect of the camera situation, you don't need to declare it. all you need to declare when coming from an eu country is the excise stuff = tobacco products, cigarettes, alcohol etc.

  5. The tax will already be included in the price.

Buying stuff from America is different though, as the tax is not included in the quoted price generally.
