I only worked for a month and my dad did my taxes for me. I only got a check back for like six dollars. I lost my tax return do I need to put my info on fafsa or not?

  1. If you need to recover a lost tax return, you can get the information that you need directly from the Internal Revenue Service. There is no charge for this service, but you need to allow as much as 2 weeks for delivery.

    Some people have reported that they got their tax transcripts almost immediately (by fax?) if they ordered a transcript using this IRS request line: 1-800-829-1040.

    But yes, you should include all of your income on the FAFSA. Don't worry, though - if your income was as minimal as you're suggesting, it won't have any effect on how much aid you are eligible to receive.
