Do i have to re-take the knowledge test to get my license if i already took it to get my permit?

I got my permit before i took drivers ed... and in doing so i had to pass the knowledge test already... and im wondering if i have to take it again to get my license, or do i just have to take a drive test?

I'm sure all states are probably different but usually you just have to do the road test.

Most states have you do the written for your permit and the road for the license.
