Do i have to study for a high school placement test?

i just started the first semester of my 3rd year HS / Junior year here in the Philippines, and we'll be moving to Canada In the middle of September.

I want to know if i need to study for it. if so, anything in particular? and will i have to repeat my sophomore year since over here we don't have an 8th grade, we just go straight from 7th to 9th( first year / freshman year) ...?

I live in the US, and I didn't study for mine. They want to know what you already know, not what you crammed into your head when you were studying...

I would recommend studying, as it cannot hurt.  I do not know how the Philipine education curriculum works, but the standard classes that freshmen take in high school are -

Physical education (just exercise)

Biology

Geometry

World History

English (just language arts I guess)

some kind of extracurricular
