  1. Do you think a hospital would hire a doctor who hadn't taken any biology classes?  Yes, raw talent is a big part of it, but classes help you to channel your talent.  As for musical theatre classes: these are rare and you are better off working with a voice teacher for singing, an acting coach for your acting, and finding a dance class that is a beginner's level and does primarily jazz and tap.  Sometimes you will find a "Dance for Musical Theatre" class, but rarely will a college offer a musical theatre class unless they have a strong program in musical theatre.

  2. If you really have a potential and talent in acting, Plus, if you really enjoy it the producers won't hesitate to get you for their movies.

No need for musical or acting class as long as your good in acting it will develop more once the producers got you already.

If you're planning to be an actor start off small. Join small plays and contests or join in some music videos or be a back up dancer or singer. They''ll discover you.

  3. Acting for film and acting on the stage are different. You should look for a class for Acting For the Camera. Acting for film has to be much more subtle than acting on stage because the camera can capture nuances that would be too small for people in a live audience to notice. Movie actors usually aren't required to sing or dance but you could take a musical theater class just to broaden your horizons. However, education matters very little when it comes to acting. Your talent and connections will get you a lot further than classes will. But classes are a good way to improve you skill and meet others in the business.

  4. yes u need acting classes. The only way to get out of classes is to find a role where u dont need any experience

  5. No, u don,t have to. But it will help u a great deal to hone ur acting skill.

  6. Drama classes and acting. Unless you plan on working in broadway theater I really wouldn't see why you would need musical theater?

  7. If I were you I would take the classes and then if your serious also go to acting school. this way you will build up the skills and confidence that directors and producers crave!

                                  hope this helps x

  8. Try them, they help!

    Auditions: try this site: Http://www.CastingAudition.com

Its great, you can search Shows Music Videos for auditions in your area! you can also submit for a role! Good luck!

  9. No director, producer, or anyone is going to want you in their production if you don't take classes. Calling them "whatever" isn't going to help either. It's taken extremely seriously and you can't get into the business with no experience or no connections.
