No, not at all.  There are some merchants that will only accept PayPal, but that's rare.  Generally speaking, you can use a credit or debit card, and some merchants will accept a check or money order.  Read the terms at the merchant's site to see what is available, or just start going through the check out process to see what pops up.  You can always cancel out before you finalize your order.

No there are other payment options, credit card, debit card , prepaid charge cards and electronic checking/

You do not need to use PayPal for all your online purchases. You can use Western Union Money Transfer as well.
