Do i just need a new lcd screen on my laptop iff...?

i stepped on it and it is cracked and has black looking inkspots comming down from it? if so, where can i get it fixed? I found an lcd screen tobuy online.

is the computer still under warrenty..  it will be very expensive to fix.  without seeing it i dont know if its only the screen.  if you keep the computer in a stationary place, maybe just buy a regualr monitor, it will be cheaper then fixing the laptop.
