Question:

Do i need 1080p to use hdtv for PC monitor?

Hey guys i wanna get a HDTV to use as a computer monitor and i don't know what i need.. i would like 1080p so if i watch blue ray from my computer it will look amazing but it costs alot more and its hard to find on a 32 inch and some say its not necessary if its under like 50 inch.. what would you guys recommend?

  1. Hi,

    When you're using a screen for a PC monitor, there's no settings like 1080i or 1080p, its all measured in pixels like 1080x768. e.t.c.

    Also when you're buying a HDTV as a monitor, please make sure it has a vga or dvi port so you could connect it to your computer.

  2. I have a 40" 720P, and it works fine as a monitor. For thec uses you describe, it will work well. Just make sure you get a TV with a VGA input.
