Do i need a capacitor with 2 subs?

I have a 300 watt amplifier controlling a subwoofer and a 75w x 2 amplifier controlling two 6 x 9's do i need a capacitor?

  1. with what you have just buy a jellcell battery ( the yellow top optima)


  2. ive ran over 1200 rms watts without a cap. it fried my alt in the long run but it did work. if your having problems with the amount of power ur using i wouldnt check all the connections. the ground first. caps dont solve the problem they mask it.  do as other guy suggested.

    the big 3 is all you need.

  3. no...capacitors just take more energy and dont really do anything

  4. A capacitor is a complete waste of money!

    Just spend a bit of money doing a proper "Big 3" install and leave it at that.

    Search the web for how the "Big 3" is done.
