  1. You would not need a CDL (commercial) tag, but you might need a class B, depending on the size...Check the driver's handbook for your state.


  2. Depends on the state really. In most states though, provided it has seating for less then 15 people with seat belts, its considered a residential mobile home, and requires no CDL or special liscense requirements. If it does seat over 15, then you must adhere to bus laws, which do require a CDL and special insurance.

    Basically it comes down to CDL is only required for commercial vehicles, and not residential mobile homes.

  3. DR hit it on the nose.  Most RVs are recreational vehicles and do not require a CDL.  As a professional bus driver, that scares me very much.  The thing as big as my bus but, you don't need special training or licensing and I do.  GO figure.
