Do i need a letter from DDTEFP when applying for long visa for Internship in France?

Im a university student and found an Internship 12months in france, I assume I need a long visa, do I need the DDTEFP authorisation letter inorder to apply for the visa? Am I considered to be student Internship or for work purpose?Im a non EU citizen. I assume that it is very difficult for the company to apply for the DDTEFP letter for me and it's a long proccess?

    Congratulations for your internship from a french guy...

    Yes you need a long period visa to come in France, you should contact the french embassy to get the required information:

    Ambassade de France en Australie, 6 Perth Avenue, Yarralumla ACT 2600

    Consulat général de France à Sydney, Level 26, St Martins Tower, 31 Market Street, Sydney NSW 2000

    Yes you need the DDTEFP agreement to get the visa and this visa is different according to the fact you will be paid or not... If you get paid, you need to apply for a work visa whereas if you are not paid, you need an internship visa.

    About the duration, no idea but it's never very quick with the adminstration...
