Do i need a new player in order for my computer to play blu ray or just a new driver?

Blu Ray players use a blue laser to read a blu ray disc.  CD and DVD players and recorders use a red laser.  If you have a CD or DVD player you will not be able to upgrade a driver to play a blu ray disc.  You will have to buy a blu ray player to play a blu ray disc.

you need a Blu-ray rom player or recorder for the computer to play or record blu-ray discs, a good graphic card and also a player software to play the titles beside that a good processor and enough memory, this is a sample minimum requirements from a company who made blu-ray software to play blu-ray movies remember this is minimum requirements almost always you need more than that  !!
