  2. Are you an American citizen?  If so , you do NOt and WILL not ever need a passport to travel to the U.S Virgin Islands..since they are PART of America.  See site below and read last sentence under the section titled "Land and Sea Travel."  Then see 2nd site to list of U.S. territories.
