  1. No passport needed if you are a US citizen. USVI are territories of the USA.

You do need proof of citizenship, a birth certificate with the raised seal and a valid photo ID to return to the mainland.

    Enjoy paradise)

  2. Nope US virgin islands are US territory, hence no passport

  3. No passport needed.

  4. If you are travelling by ferry to or from the British Virgin Islands (BVI), then yes, you do need a passport regardless of nationality.

If you are not a US citizen only going to St John then you will also need one.

The ferry from BVI to St Thomas calls in at St John to clear immigration.

  5. No,  however I would recommend taking a passport.  The day trips to the British Virgin Islands are fantastic.  I would highly recommend going to see the Baths at Virgin Gorda.  Also some of the best snorkeling in the world is nearby.  You will love St. Johns but there is so much more to see!!!
