  1. "ACACHRIS" is right.  See site below to see that you need aphoto I.D. and EITHER a passport OR birth certificate.  Now, SOME cruise lines want you to have apassport, so good idea to call and ask their policy.

Actually me and my family have been on two cruises and yes it is required to bring a passport FOR EACH PERSON TRAVELING (so even if it is a family trip and you have five year olds say then they each need one to) this enables you to get off of the boat and go to the different stops since a cruise is just like traveling to that country...But if you dont want a passport and go through all of that trouble then im pretty sure but not possitive you can go on the cruise still you will just not be able to get off at any of the stops...lastly there is a huge line where they check before you get off so you wont be able to sneak off either haha but hope this helps
