  1. the environment agency have got a document about kaying permissions on there website this may help


  2. Contact the British Canoe Union (BCU) and they'll tell you all the access regulations for anywhere in the UK.

    From memory I think canals are okay to paddle on. . .

  3. contact 'British waterways' they will be able to advice you, as some canals are shut this time of year, for maintenance.
