  1. Depending on where you are in the US you may need a contractor lic.

To avoid that as you get started...no job can be over $500 including supplies

What services do you want to provide..mow and blow or landscape design?

You must have a business lic.for the city you serve.

Get insurance! It is almost nothing for a mow and blow opp.

Being young and excitedr can work in your favor...do yourself a favor and DO NOT charge sig less then the other guys providing the same service. If you feel you must charge less do so with coupons

    Have fun and good luck

  2. Not really. Kids have been cutting lawns forever. You don't need anything. If you want to impress people just photoshop one. Don't give the state any money.

  3. Hello,

Yes.. More so you will need a business lic. from the city your going to start this in. Your best bet would be to contact your local chamber of commence as they will have all the information you are going to need to start your new business... Best of luck

  4. If you are serious about this and you want people to take you seriously your best bet is to get permitted.  It shows people that you are serious about your work and aren't going to leave their yard worse than before, especially since there is a cost to getting the permit.  I am sure the price of permits varies per county/state, but I've heard that it's pretty high.

    Hope that helps!
