Do i need a prescription for colered contacts?

i already have contacts that are colored but i got them from a fair so could i go to a glasses place and get them again without a prescription

no. some websites can give them with or without a perscription. most sites require mesaurements of the iris and pupil, wich can only be obtained by a trip to the optomitrist. google "cosmetic lenses" or "theatrical lenses" and you will get lots of great sites. some are colored and others are special effects lenses.

i dont know for sure if you can get the contacts directly from an optomitrist or not, though.

depending on where you live a lot of ethnic beauty supply stores sell color contacts and the wacky contacts ( cat eyes, zigzag, white outs)  but it would be SMART and SAFE to get a prescription  for  contacts.
