hi, thanks for your answers about the bilge pump. truth is it is my fault it is not working - i left it on, walked away & forgot about it. :o ( anyway, i see no way to get into the guts of our bayliner capri to replace anything. the back seat is on hinges and will swing up but not far enough to get in there to get a good look. there must be some way to remove that seat from the hinges but i can't see how. would you say i need a repair manual? any idea where to get one? i did a quick search on the net and did not find one specifically for that model. anyone, help!

  1. you can get a repair manual off Ebay

  2. NO a repair manual won't help you. The seat will come off you just have to find out how.

  3. you can remove the hedges and then the seat to get it out of the way... bayliner is a good looking boat but it is not very user friendly... i recommend getting out of it and moving up to a sea ray...

  4. When you get it fixed, just connect it to a float switch, no "Manual" or "Auto." switch on the helm, If water comes in, the float goes on, when water is out, float shuts off the pump, put a red indicator light on the panel to show when the pump has kicked on, this way it CAN'T happen again.

  5. do you have a chainsaw
