Do i need a title or not?

A friend of mine is selling a four tire trailer, it's in nice conditiones and its great for work! i am thinking of buying it, but the thing is that he does not have a title to it? does it matter? do i need a title for it? if i do were can i get it?

It depends on the state and the size of the trailer as to whether it has or needs a title.  Take a look at your states MVD site

A trailer is just like any other vehicle and does need to have a title to show ownership and allow it to be licensed.
