I saw that most wakeboarding videos have towers that the tow rope is connected to. the way im going to set it up for now is by connecting the tow rope to the two eyelets by the engine, about halfway up on each side. once i get better i want to be able to do jumps and stuff. would i be able to pull off decent jumps with it connected this way? or would i need to have the rope connected to something higher.

  1. Alright. Well wakeboarding is alot easier with a tower or ski pylon because the rope is being pulled upward instead of downward [like being hooked to a bridal close to the water next to your engine] because when you jump the wake you want it higher up because the boat is pulling the rope upward. This in return is going to give you more control, and when you jump the wake it's going to give you noticeably more air. I highly recommend getting one. A pylon you could trust keeping you from dying.. probably 200-400 dollars. anything above that is overkill. And I learned first behind a boat where it was hooked up to the eyelits in the back with a bridal and could still clear the wake. Then I got a pylon and I'm doing backrolls and 7's and such =P I hope this helps
