Do i need a tv ariel for sky tv?

Hi there, i'm hoping to get Sky tv installed in my bedroom, but i just need to know, do i need an ariel fed into my room (like freeview) or does it completely transmit via the cable from the satellite dish?

  1. Sky TV - you need a satellite dish

    Sky News - you can get that with an aerial.


  2. you need an independent line running from the sky dish ( a Sky Quad LNB will also be needed if you already have a box on another room), and if its a new contract or part of sky multiroom you will also need a telephone connection.

  3. No, you need a dish.

  4. You`ll either need a cable connection or satellite dish with connections to your room,or if you already have a satellite have a junction fitted with  a cable connection to your room,but you wont get sky via an ariel,
