  1. As a US citizen, you do not need a visa to go to Germany if you are not staying longer than 90 days.  If you plan to stay longer than 90 days, however, you can obtain a visa after arrival into Germany.  However, if you are of another nationality or you are planning any stopovers along the way - i.e. a night or two in Amsterdam - you requirements could also change.

  2. That is all you need. You can travel easily throughout the EU without a visa.  Have fun.  I've been there twice.  Make sure to try a Doner Kebab, the Turkish version of a gyro.  So yummy!

  3. It depends on your nationality. Many citizens like US, Canadian, UK do not need a visa for tourist purposes and stay less than 91 days, some do. As long as you don't tell which passport you are holding, correct information cannot be provided. If you are not sure, you may contact the German Embassy or Consulate of your country following this link.

I just found another site; you choose in your citizenship and residence, and it will tell you whether is visa is required or not.

  4. Only if you plan to stay longer than 90 days, or work there (for a salary).

Have fun!  Germany´s an awesome place.

  5. US citizen?  Just visiting?  Staying under 90 days?

    No.
